This board is intended for those interested in selling their scripts to Hollywood. Please be advised that our experience, by and large, is in the studio system. We will do our best to answer questions regarding independent movie making but be aware that our bias and expertise is for and with bigger budgets and bigger films as well as nurturing younger talent to enter this arena.
"We" are myself (your Moderator) and my staff. Pete & Erica, with your permission, have graciously allowed us to stay anonymous for the time being. We prefer this for now simply because we wanted to resist the temptation of using this board as a place to plug our own company.
What I will tell you is that, while my current company is a newer one, my personal experience includes nearly 10 years of work at top level production companies, a large talent and literary agency and as a reader (both on-staff and freelance).
I will be candid about the industry and hope that my experience can help you understand the market you're either trying to enter or trying to find a stable existence within. If you want to be a writer in Hollywood, please allow me to assist you.
